October 30 and the building is wrapped now and the roof is on. The rains can begin now....!! We are just waiting for the windows and doors so we can "lock up", get the rainscreen on, get the necessary inspections and put the siding and trim up. After that, the energy all moves inside!
Pot lights starting to go in. Getting soffits ready for finishing.
November 6th - some the windows have arrived and are going in. Weather is starting to get wetter and cooler, so just in time!
Patio slider door for the gym - black looks awesome!
Concrete has cured on the decks, blue sealing tape being applied to seal all joints, crevices and windows.
November 21 - rainscreen slats being applied, with bug screens under windows and plastic strip to allow air to move freely behind the siding and any moisture to run down to the ground. Gonna be a warm, dry house!
Front entrance ready for concrete caps on posts and landing in front of stairs to be poured. Unfortunately it snowed last night... in Vancouver.. in November!!!
Front windows in master bedroom and rainscreen on most of the front.
January and its cold and wet. The siding is largely complete and concrete planters built and poured, Concrete ledge run around the house and cement headers installed over garage door to provide 'support' to the ledgestone wall stone.
Finally the last exterior doors arrived and were installed January 13! Wow... the Eclipse folding wall looks awesome. 16' wide and 8' high... going to be great on that patio when the sun comes out!
February 5th - exterior basically complete. Waiting for some warmer weather to install ledgestone and paint everything.
Ledgestone has arrived... just waiting for 5+ degree overnights to return....!
